Ethel V. Tanner

Ethel was born April 28, 1910, the daughter of Guy H. and Norma (Williams) Gore. On February 14, 1930, she was united in marriage to Clyde Tanner in Waterloo, IA. They were later divorced. She was employed in the office at Brooks, New York Fashion and Credit Bureau of Waterloo, retiring in 1972.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce A. Taylor of Cedar Falls; son and daughter in law, William and Mary Tanner of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Wilcox of Gurnee, IL; nephews, Donald Heath of Cedar Falls and Guy M. Gore of California and nieces, Jane Schaefer of Waukegan, IL and Pam Rustad of Victoria, MN.

Ethel died Thursday, April 3, 2003, at the Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center in Cedar Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Boyd Gore.
