Services for Robert G. Kucera, 48, of 309 W. Eighth St., will be 2 p.m. Saturday. at Garden View Chapel with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Military rites will be,conducted by Becker-Chapman Post 138 of the American Legion and VFW Post 1623. Mr. Kucera died of a heart attack at 8:59 a.m. Thursday at Schoitz Medical Center.
He was born April 17, 1934, at Salinas, Calif., son of Frank and Esther Klenk Kucera. He married Joyce Kelley March 22, 1958, at Traer. They were later divorced. He was employed as a mechanic at Hinson Manufacturing Co. for 15 years, retiring because of a disability several years ago. He served in the U;S.: Navy from 1953-57.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Esther Drews of Traer; two sons, Vince Kucera and Frank Kucera, both of 309 W. Eighth St.; five daughters: Linda Wentz of 413 W. 12th St. and Sandra, Ramona, Kimberly and Christie, all at home; three sisters: Marie Hess of Clutier, Darlene Walton of 546 Eastgate Drive and Barbara Cummings of Cedar Rapids; two stepsisters, Hazel Brandt of Reinbeck and Betty Blodgett of Buffalo; and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at the funeral home until 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday.
