Services for Rev. Clarence A. Ferring, 79, of Dubuque, formerly of Waterloo and Jesup, will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Boniface Church in New Vienna with burial in the church cemetery. He died Wednesday at the St. Joseph Unit of Mercy Health Center in Dubuque.

He had been assigned to St. Athanasius Church in Jesup and at St. Mary's and St. John's Catholic churches in Waterloo. He was pastor of the latter from 1963-1971.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Marie Lueck of Dyersville and Sister Marie Ferring of Sherril.

Friends may call at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville from 3 to 10 p.m. Sunday and at the church from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday.
