WATERLOO — Giovanni Chavez Turner, 2, of Waterloo, died at home Monday, April 8, 2013, from complications of cancer.

He was born May 12, 2010, in Waterloo, son of Derrick Turner and Kari Ohlenkamp.

Survived by his father of Waterloo; his mother of Waterloo; paternal grandparents, Derrick and Robin Turner of Waterloo and Clara and Rubben Vanderson-Brown of Garland, Texas; maternal grandparents, Michael Ohlenkamp and Brenda Hostetler, both of Waterloo; paternal great-grandparents, Floyd (Erma) Turner and Carol Banks, both of Texas; and maternal great-grandparents, Marlene Ohlenkamp of Elk Run Heights, Marvin and Angie Bolton of Texas and Shirley Henze of Raymond.

Preceded in death by paternal great-grandmother, Mary Turner; and maternal great-grandfather, Paul Ohlenkamp.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.
