CEDAR FALLS — Gordon Dean Warnke, 64, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, April 12, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, of cancer.

He was born June 27, 1948, in Oelwein, son of Arthur and Elanor Spragg Warnke. He married Lisa Rivers on June 29, 1991, in San Bernadino, Calif.

Mr. Warnke graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1966 and served in the United States Army from 1966-1969. He was employed at John Deere, City of Cedar Falls Street Department and later for 25 years at Fleet Pride, Fullerton, Calif. selling truck parts.

Survived by his wife of Cedar Falls; four daughters: Angie Stark of Waterloo and Beth (Juan) Espinoza, both of Waterloo, and Carrie Warnke and Amy Ouassou, both of Cedar Falls; two sons, Shane (Amy) of New Hartford and Derek of Cedar Falls; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers: Larry of Arkansas, Jack of Florida and Dennis of California; and two sisters, Deonne Clemens of Arkansas and Pam Caldwell of Mount Vernon.

Preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, his twin, Nancy Heggebo and Audrey Warnke.

Services: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Western Home Communities Chapel, Cedar Falls, with inurnment in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel. Memorials: may be directed to the family.
