A Young Mother Called
Another sad death occurred last night at 11:40 when Catherine, wife of Walter Haynes, passed away at their home at 520 Randolph Street after a brief illness lasting only a little more than twenty-four hours, death being due to acute peritonitis. A little daughter of two years old is left motherless and a young husband is left to mourn the loss of a beloved companion.
Deceased was born at Colfax, September 13, 1884, being the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Main of that place. Here she lived until her marriage which occurred about three years ago to Walter Haynes of this city, who brought his bride to this city to live and here they have made their home ever since. The groom being employed by the Iowa Telephone Company.
Being a young woman of pleasing and winning personality, Mrs. Haynes drew to her many friends who now sympathize sincerely with the bereaved relatives in their loss. She was a member of the Methodist church at Colfax and during her residence in Waterloo, she and her husband have attended the First Methodist Church.
Brief funeral services will be held at the home tomorrow morning at 7:30 conducted by Rev. Frank Cole and the body will be taken over the Chicago Great Western to Colfax for burial.
The husband and the father and mother of the deceased, Mr. and Mrs. Main, who were called her by the new of their daughter's serious illness, will accompany the remains on their last sad journey.
