WATERLOO — Daniel “Mystery” Kaumans, 63, of Waterloo, died Sunday, April 7, 2013, at home.

He was born Oct. 15, 1949, in Waterloo, son of Joseph and Agatha Craven Kaumans. He married Krisann Kneeskern on Nov. 7, 1975, in Waterloo.

Mr. Kaumans was employed with Crystal Distribution, Jerald Sulkey Co. and then with John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works.

Survived by his wife; four sons: Jason and Adam, both of Kansas, and Joshua and Noah, both of Waterloo; two daughters, Whitney (Josh Moline) Kaumans of Waterloo and Tammy (Ron) Ihde of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren, Jonathan, Mason, Kevin, Lindsay, Emma and Isaak; a great-grandson, Alex; a brother, David (Jean) of Waterloo; and two sisters, Joan (Larry) Dolan of Waterloo and Maryann (Chris) Noland of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a niece, Amy.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also an hour before services Thursday at the church.
