One hundred twelve living descendants survive Mrs. Mary Ellen Barton, 97, who died of complications of her age 6:45 p.m. Saturday at the West Third Nursing Home.

Funeral services for her will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. John's Catholic Church with the pastor, the Rev. Clarence Ferring, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at O;Keefe & Towne Funeral Home.

Mrs. Barton was born Feb 26, 1872, at Oshkosh, Wis., to William A. Haskin and Mary Jane Haskin Dawes. She was married to Thomas Barton on Dec. 17, 1890, at Red Granite, Wis., and moved in 1926 to Waterloo, wehre she was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and its rosary society.

Mrs. Barton is survived by two sons: LeRoy T. of Greensboro, N. C., and Edward W. of 117 Lewis St.; three daughters: Mmes. Lillian Hunt of 304 Candlewick Road, Lee Leonard of Denver, Colo., and LaVerne Nicol of 512 Cedar Bend; 24 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Sister Euogia, O. P., Sinsinawa, Wisc;, and Mrs. Emma Nelson of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and two brothers, George and Byron Dawes, both of La Crosse, Wis.

Mrs. Barton was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, two brothers and three sisters.
