Word has been received here Saturday of the death of a former Waterloo resident, Mrs. E. E. Munger, Sr., at her Spencer, Iowa home last Sunday.
Born Edith Johnston, on August 13, 1872, in Waterloo, the daughter of Owen Z. and Gertrude Lindell Johnston.
She attended the Waterloo public schools and the Chicago Musical college. On April 10, 1897, she was married to Dr. E. E. Munger at waterloo. Shortly after their marriage, the couple moved to Spencer, where they resided until the present time.
She was a member of Chapter A. T. of P. E. O., the Eastern Star, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Congregational church.
Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Melvin Garnett, Dallas, Texas, Miss Margaret Munger, New York City, two sonds, Dr. Ervin Munger, Spencer, Samuel J. Munger, New York City, and two grandchildren.
