Services for Bernard "Bernie" J. Redden, 82, of 208 N.. 19th St., Marshalltown, formerly of Waterloo, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, Marshalltown, with burial in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Marshalltown.

Mr. Redden died of cancer Sunday (April 12, 1987) at Marshalltown Medical Center.

He was born March 24, 1905, in New York Mills, Minn., son of William and Lizzie Abrahamson Redden. He married Edith Hedrick in Emmettsberg on Sept. 1,1935. He graduated from East High School, Waterloo, and attended the Burroughs School, Detroit, Mich. He operated an office machine sales and service business in Marshalltown since 1935.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Virginia McClure of Mounds, Minn.; two brothers, James and Albert, both of Waterloo; and two sisters, Mrs. Marian Speck of Cedar Falls and Mrs. Leola Petersen of Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Jergens.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home, Marshalltown.
