LA PORTE CITY - Services for Russell L. Taylor, 73, will be 2 p m Friday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with burial in West View Cemetery. He died Wednesday at Schoitz Memorial Hospital, Waterloo.

He was born Aug. 7, 1908, near Dysart, son of Fred A. and Frona D. Longaker Taylor. He was employed for many years at the Thriftway Grocery Store in La Porte City.

Survivors include two brothers, Dr. Rolland of Washington, and Donald of La Porte City; a sister, Faye Parks of La Porte City.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to noon Friday at Huisman-Dykeman Chapel.

Memorials may be given to the church or the La Porte City Community Center.
