Services for Clair E. Miller, 82, of Fort Wayne, Ind., formerly of Waterloo, were last month at First Presbyterian Church, Fort Wayne, with burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Mr. Miller died of a heart attack Dec. 21, 1982, at Fort Wayne.
He was born Dec. 15, 1899, at North English, son of Albert W. and Sadie E. Miller. He attended Mount Morris College in Illinois and received a master's degree from the University of Iowa, Iowa City.
He married Margaret Hersch in 1924 at Waterloo. She died in September 1957. He later married Margaret Everding.
Mr. Miller was dean of boys at Iowa High School, Cedar Rapids, and principal at Webster City High School before joining Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States, becoming full time in 1937. He worked at Atlantic and Waterloo, and moved to Fort Wayne in 1950. He retired as agency manager in 1963.
Survivors include his wife of 2304 Indian Village Blvd., Fort Wayne; a son, Richard E. Miller; a daughter, Marlyn M. Anderson; four grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Bucher of South English.
