Ralph A. Barron, 56, of 1500 Baltimore Street, died at 11:15 a.m. at Presbyterian Hospital of a heart ailment. He had been in the hospital for the past six months.

Ralph Austin Barron was born October 24, 1890, near Waterloo, the son of Henry Irvin and Ida [Barclay] Barron. He married Florence Perverill June 30, 1915, in Waterloo.

For the past 10 years he owned a feed and implement business.

Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Preston O'Rourke, Rosco, Cal., and Mrs. Betty Lou Buker, serving with the American Red Cross in Korea; three sons: Mrs, Dubuque, Ia.; Robert, 1726 Forrest Avenue; and Irvin, at home; his mother, Mrs. Ida Barron, 1111 Riehl Street; one sister, Mrs. John Knudsen, 1111 Riehl Street; four brothers: Glen, Route 5; V. R., Route 5; Harold, Route 2; and Guy, 714 West First Street; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, and one infant son.

He was a member of the Elks, the United Commercial Travelers and a charter member of the Y's Men's club.
