Virgil R. Wallace, 74, of Waterloo died Thursday, December 21, 2006, at his home.

He was born May 14, 1931, in Waterloo, the son of Albert and Mary (Kern) Wallace. He married Geneva T. Weber on October 3, 1950, in Raymond, Iowa. They were married 51 years. She died August 30, 2002. He was employed by Shield Bantem in Waverly; worked in dairy equipment sales; sold cars for area dealers; and owned and operated Wallace Auto Mart with his son. He was a proud member of AA, going on 37 years in January.

Survived by two daughters, Linda (Ray) Kisner of Litchfield, MN, and Pat (Steve) Young of Finchford; a son, Randy (Mary) Wallace of Waterloo; his fiancee, Donna Kittle of Denver; and a sister Delores Bartling of Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren: Brian (Paula), Cory (Liz), Chad and Tyler Kisner, Stephanie Young, Bob and Olivia Wallace; six great-grandchildren, Sabrina Young, Taylor, Alexis, Kendra, and Madeline Kisner, and Ryan Wallace.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers, Frankie, Cliff, and Don; and one sister, Virginia Kern.

Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with interment in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Public visitation will be 2 to 7 pm Tuesday, with a 4 pm Rosary and 7 pm Scripture service at the Richardson Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
