EVANSDALE — Barbara Jean Morris, 78, of Evansdale, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

She was born Jan. 16, 1935, in Waterloo, daughter of Harold and Ruth Taft Scott. She married Lawrence C. Dixon, and he preceded her in death in 1977. She married Daniel W. Morris on April 30, 1993, in Waterloo.

Mrs. Morris worked as a certified nurse’s aide at Parkview Gardens Nursing and Rehab Center, Waterloo, for many years.

Survived by her husband; four daughters: Roszella Kleinhaus, Peggy (Jerry) Dixon and Sandy Dixon, all of Waterloo, and Sharon (Kenneth) Lovell of Evansdale; two sons, Raymond (Irene) Dixon of Williamsburg and Larry (Linda) Dixon of Jesup; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; five sisters: Carol Barritt, Janet Dunegan, Mary (Harold) Steen and Betty Scott, all of Waterloo, and Patty Howard of Evansdale; and a brother, Dick (Bev) Scott of Dysart.

Preceded in death by: two sisters, Evelyn Kearns and Cathy Smith; two brothers, Donald and Jimmy Scott; and two brothers-in-law, Calvin Dunegan and Lee Kearns.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Faith Assembly of God Church, Elk Run Heights, with burial in West View Cemetery, La Porte City. Visitation from 9 a.m. until services Saturday at the church. Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, Waterloo, is in charge of arrangements.
