EVANSDALE — Paul D. Timmerman, 75, of Evansdale, died Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, from complications of congestive heart failure.

He was born Oct. 1, 1937, in Waterloo, son of Paul and Emilie Wunder Timmerman. He married Donna Miehe on Aug. 7, 1965, at Zion Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

Mr. Timmerman graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1956. He worked as an assembler for 10 years at Titus Manufacturing, then went to work for John Deere as an overhead crane operator at the foundry, retiring in 1997 after 24 years. He also was a private beekeeper for several years. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and UAW Local 838.

Survived by: his wife; two daughters, Gwen Timmerman and Deb (Alan) Findling, both of Waterloo; five grandchildren: Travis James, Alec James, Derek Paul, Blade and Gage; two great-granddaughters, Jailyn and Jayda; a sister-in-law, Sandra Timmerman of Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews

Preceded in death by four sisters: Ephene Timmerman, Elta Weeks, Marlys Eikenberry and Adella Malloy; and two brothers, Frederick and Bruce.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home.
