Kathryn E. Ayers, 82, of Ravenwood Health Care Center, formerly of 1119 Kent Circle, No. 108, died at the care center Thursday, April 1, 1993, of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 3, 1910, in Ainsworth, daughter of David A. and Mildred Stephens Peterson. She married Lowell V. "Bud" Ayers Nov. 13, 1937, in Waterloo, and he died Jan. 3, 1988.

Mrs. Ayers was a salesman at Sears for 19 yeans, retiring in 1972. She was a past president of the Waterloo Council of the Parent-Teacher Association.

Survivors include three sons: David Bisone of Waterloo, John Ayers of Clear Lake and James Ayers of Rochester, Minn.; two daughters, Josephine Ringgenberg of Minneapolis and Joan Ayers of Des Moines; two Sisters, Alice Frame of Kinsley, Kan., and Evelyn Egan of Seattle; and seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church. There will be no visitation; her body was donated to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Keams, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel-downtown is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
