Benjamin E. Vaughn, 64, of 1828 E. Mitchell Ave., died Saturday, April 3, 1993, at Allen Memorial Hospital, of heart failure.

He was born July 21, 1928 in Waterloo, son of Earl and Mary J. Pierce Vaughn. He married Arlene Westergaard on Aug. 15, 1958, in Waterloo.

He owned Ben and Dick's Automotive Co., retiring in July 1990. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.

Survivors include his, wife; his mother, Mary Pierce of Waterloo; and a sister, Helen Wolf of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his father, and a sister, Patricia Jurries.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, with burial at 1 1 a.m. Wednesday in Waterloo Cemetery. Friends may call at Locke Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to the church.
