HUDSON —Irene Hazel Redfearn, 96, of 204 Eidora Road, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2002 at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, of a heart attack.

She was born May 11,1905, in Gladbrook, daughter of Henry and Whileminia Speth Reese. She married Harry E. Redfearn March 27,1923, in Grundy Center. He died April 12, 1974.

Survived by three daughters: Ruby L. Rhoades of Hudson, Ruth Rassmussen of Traer and Zonya Collum of Bella Vista, Ark.; 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-granchildren.

Preceded in death by: a daughter, Katherine Krejchi; a great-grandson; and 11 brothers and sisters.

Services: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, with burial in Hudson Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
