Services for Edwin Thornquist, 67, of Ames, and formerly of Waterloo, will be Friday afternoon at Memorial Park Chapel, Memorial Park Cemetery. He died at 10 p.m. Tuesday at the Mary Greeley Hospital, Ames.

He was born July 8, 1911, in Medford. Mass. He received degrees in architecture and engineering from Wentworth College, Boston, Mass. He married Alice Kliebenspein, Nov. 22, 1940. in Waverly.

He is survived by a son, John of Des Moines and two sisters, Marion and Helen Thornquist, both of Arlington. Va.

Parrott and Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
