Funeral services for Darnel J. Cook, 32, of 5539 Watters Road, were held Tuesday, October 30, 1990 at 1:30 p.m. at the Community Church of Hudson. Burial was in the Hudson Cemetery.

Mr. Cook passed away Friday at the Valley View Motel in Preston, Minnesota. An autopsy was performed to determine the cause of death.

He was born August 28, 1958 in Iowa City, the sone of James R. and Lois Forbes Cook.

He graduated from Hudson High School in 1977 and was employed at Municipal Pipe Tool Company of Hudson.

He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Randy Cook of Hudson and Allen Cook of Redondo Beach, California; one sister, Wendy Bishop of Hudson; maternal grandmother, Irene Forbes of Lone Tree and paternal grandfather, Charles Cook of Waterloo.

A Hudson man was found dead by a co-worker in a motel in Preston, Minn, on Friday.

Darnel J. Cook, 32, of 5539 Watters Road, Hudson, had been doing work in Preston for his employer, Municipal Pipe Tool Co. of Hudson and was staying at the Valley View Motel there, according to a police report.

Cook's cause of death is pending an autopsy, but Preston Police Chief Barry Anderson said there are no signs of foul play. Anderson said they have ruled out suicide, and there were no external wounds to Cook.

Anderson said an autopsy was per-. formed Friday, and the results of that and a toxicology report won't be available for about two weeks. Anderson said, however, there were no signs of intoxication or drug use. A co-worker who was staying in the room called police when he could not rouse Cook from sleep at 7:45 a.m. Friday.
