CEDAR FALLS - John H. Niedermeyer, 77, of cedar Falls, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center of natural causes.

He was born March 4, 1924, in Strawberry Point, son of Edith Neuenkirk. He married Nazimova Mae Beckett on Aug. 23, 1947. She died Nov. 26,1997.

Mr Niedermeyer was employed at the Eagles Food Store as a clerk and served in the U.S. Army during World War II receiving the Purple Heart.

Survived by two daughters, Charlotte A. Curry of Cedar Falls and Cynthia J. Barnes of Evansdale; three grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren.

Graveside services: 11 a.m. Monday at Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Home's temporary location, 204 W Seerley Blvd.
