Funeral services for Michael A. Finnegan, 89, of 1638 Hawthorne Ave., who died yesterday at 11:15 a.m. of complications of advanced age at Americana Nursing Home, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church. The Rev. Clarence Ferring, pastor, will officiate. Friends may call at the Oppold Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today.

Mr. Finnegan was born Feb. 6, 1887, near Lawler, son of Edward and Catherine Noonan Finnegan. He married Anna King April 28, 1908, at St. Rose Church near Waucoma.

He farmed in Chickasaw County until coming to Waterloo in 1944. He was employed by Construction Machinery Co. until September of 1956. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and it's Holy Name Society.

Surviving besides his widow are three daughters: Mrs. Herman Balk of Waucoma, Mrs. Francis Jones of Albert Lea, Minn., and Mrs. E. R. Ashley of Peoria, Ill; two sons, Russell of Miami, Fla., and Kenneth, of 805 Eastern Ave.; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Henry, of New Hampton.

He was preceded in death by seven sisters, five brothers and his parents.
