CEDAR FALLS — Services for John T. Birdsall, 78, of the Western Home, formerly of 1122 Grove St., will be 1:30 p.m. Monday al the Western Home chapel, with burial in the Fairview Cemetery, Cedar Falls. Mr. Birdsall died Thursday at 3:45 p.m. at Sartori Memorial Hospital of heart failure.

He was born March 8, 1897, in Kearney, Neb., the son of James and Elizabeth Story Birdsall. He married Venus Clark, Oct. 9, 1919. She died in 1927. He married Dora Edwards Aug. 1, 1931, she died in 1968.

He was a veteran of World War I and was employed by Cedar Falls Utilities and Bancroft Florists.

Survivors include a son, John J., of 813 Bluff St.; a daughter, Mrs. Lois Hood, of Marion; two step-daughters, Mrs. Hazel Bundy, of the Ravenwood Care Center, Waterloo, and Mrs. Gladys Frandsen. of 324 W. 12th St.; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Hildabrand of the Western Home and Martha Hansen of Sumner.

Friends may call at the Noggert-Erickson Funeral Home until 9 a.m. Monday and at the Western Home until service time.
