Services for former Waterloo resident Roger Eugene Boike, 41, will be in Thousand Oaks, Calif., where he lived since 1957. He died there 7 p.m. Wednesday of a heart ailment.

He was born in Grundy County May 5, 1932, the son of Herman and Jennie Harrenstein Boike. He married Thelma Kirkendall Oct. 3. 1954, in Nashua, and the couple lived here until they moved to California.

Survivors include his wife at home; four children: Sherry, Marty, Kitty, and Vickie, all at home; his parents, 442 Lane St.; two brothers, Russell, 1416 Washington St., and Norman, 7911 University Ave., Cedar Falls; three sisters: Mrs. Robert Brecunier, 1931 Pin Oak Dr.. Cedar Falls, Mrs. Virgil Grayhill, 353 Fairfield Ave., and Mrs. James McGrane, 825 Belle St.

Mr. Boike's funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Grifford Brothers Funeral Home in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
