RAYMOND — Duane L. Clark, 87, of Raymond, died Friday, March 15, 2013, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center, Waterloo.

He was born Sept. 29, 1925, in Waterloo, son of William T. and Clara Krueger Clark. He married Edith A. Nash on Aug. 31, 1951, in Springfield, Mo. She died Oct. 9, 2012.

A graduate of Waterloo East High School, Mr. Clark was a U.S. Navy aircraft radioman during World War II and was a member of Cedar Falls AMVETS. He graduated in 1952 from the Office Appliance Mechanical Institute, Springfield, and worked as a typewriter mechanic. In 1990 he retired from Waterloo’s Chamberlain Manufacturing as a supervisor.

Survived by two sons, Robert (Loretta) of Grifton, N.C., and James (Donna Cafferty) of Waterloo; a stepdaughter, Janet (Shell) M. Barth of San Angelo, Texas; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, James E. (Jackie) of Phoenix; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by a brother, Roger E.; and two sisters, Dorothy Atwood and Lela Hild.

There will be no services, his body was cremated. Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, Waterloo, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the family at 320 E. Eighth St. Apt. 3, Waterloo 50703.

Duane and Edie enjoyed 61 years together and traveling to visit family and finding a good place to fish.
