CEDAR FALLS — Hazel E. Beatty, 93, of the Western Home, died Monday, Dec. 31, 1990, at Sartori Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

She was born Oct. 26, 1897, in Jetmore, Kan., daughter of Samuel B. and Emily Belts David. She married Jesse L. Fisher on April 30, 1919. She later married Samuel M. Beatty on Nov. 29, 1943, in Vinton. He died Feb. 10, 1978. She taught in country schools in the Farina, Ill., area.

Survivors include a son, Samuel Beatty of Waterloo; two daughters, Mildred Wood of Cedar Falls and Donna Cole of Cedar Rapids; a stepdaughter, Maxine Wilson of Dysart; four grandsons; four great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Fem Sheldon of Decatur, Ill.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Fisher.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Western Home Chapel, with burial in Dysart Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and an hour before services at the chapel.

Memorials may be made to the Western Home and Dysart United Methodist Church.
