Ethel E. Hale, 84, of Friendship Village, died there Sunday, Dec. 30, 1990, of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 11, 1906, in Monroe County, daughter of William and Dorothy Ferguson McCollum. She married Homer H. Hale on Jan. 2, 1939, in Gary, Ind. He died May 20, 1976.

She is survived by a stepson, Keith Hale of Aurora, Colo.; she was preceded in death by a brother, W. Loren McCollum.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the Waterloo Chapter 128 O.E.S. will conduct public Eastern Star rites at 7:30 p.m.
