Fanny Rothschild, 85, of the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, formerly of 256 Sheridan Road, died Monday, Dec. 31, 1990, of natural causes at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls.

She was born Aug. 14, 1905, in Konstanz, Germany, daughter of Ludwig and Rica Stern Wolf. She married Judge Alfred Rothschild on Nov. 9, 1928, in Germany, and was instrumental in gaining his release from the Dachau Concentration Camp. They immigrated to the United States in 1940.

She was a receptionist and bookkeeper in the Nadler Law Office before retiring.

Survivors include a son, District Associate Judge Walter Rothschild of Waterloo; a daughter, Renate Nadler of Waterloo; four grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.

Services will be 3 p.m. today at Memorial Park Chapel, with burial in Beth Olom Section of Memorial Park Cemetery. O'Keefe & Towne-Grarup & Waychoff Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
