WATERLOO — Joan C. Taylor, 75, of Waterloo, died at home Wednesday, March 6, 2013.

She was born March 27, 1937, in Waterloo, daughter of Cecil and Alvina Heideman Taylor.

She graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1955, and then worked at John Deere Product Engineering Center for more than 30 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and a former member of the Moose Lodge.

Survived by her sister, Donna Taylor of Waterloo; and numerous cousins and friends.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, and for an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church, 118 High Street, Waterloo 50703 or Bremwood Children’s Home, P.O. Box 848, Waverly 50677.

Joan enjoyed visiting with people and traveling, especially to the Grand Teton National Park. She loved sweatshirts and was fond of getting together with friends for lunch.
