CEDAR FALLS — Bernice Marie Vermaas, 87, of Mallard Point, Cedar Falls, formerly of Beatrice, Neb., died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 2, 1925, in Omaha, Neb., daughter of Bernard and Lois Taylor Trapp. She married Martin Vermaas on Nov. 28, 1943, in Marysville, Kan.

She was a member of Calvary Bible Church, Washburn.

Survived by her husband; three daughters, Gloria (James) Goering and Susan (Rik) Reuter, both of Waterloo, and Carol (Amal) Bejjani of Lincoln, Neb.; two sons, Stephen of Omaha and Timothy (Susan) Vermaas of Athens, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Fossler of Lincoln, Neb.

Preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Lois and Elmer Keefover; a sister, Mary Woods; and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Vermaas.

Services: 2 p.m. Monday at Calvary Bible Church, Washburn, with burial at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Firth Cemetery in Firth, Neb. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home.
