Services for Lois M. Manross, 93, of 137 Polk St., will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church with burial in Littleton Cemetery, Littleton. She died of complications of age Tuesday (June 30) at Colonial Manor, La Porte City, where she resided for the past nine years.

She was born April 30, 1894, Peoria, Ill., daughter of Fred and Sophia Stewart Greene. She married to Francis C. Manross on Dec. 24, 1912, in Independence. He died in August 1945. She was a cook for the Stockman's Inn for 30 years.

Survivors include two sons, Donald F. of 616 Fowler St. and Delbert of 1921 Tilbury Road; a daughter, Mrs. Lois Jean Johnson of 156 Monroe St.; a brother, Fred Greene of Independence; two sisters, Dorothy Bantz of Crosby, Minn., and Lorna Evans of Independence; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Warren and Clarence; a brother and six sisters.

Friends may call at The Kearns-Huisman-Schumacher Chapel from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 to 11 a.m. Friday and at the church for an hour before services Friday. Memorials may be made to the church.
