James A. Pillion, 64, of 543 Kern St. died at Schoitz Memorial Hospital at 5 a.m. Saturday of heart failure.

He was born July 16, 1911, in Slella, Mo., the son of Morgan and Elisa Pillion. He married Meredith M. Johnson at Nevada, Mo., in 1951.

Mr. Pillion was employed at the Rath Packing Company until his retirement in 1973.

Survivors include his wife; three sisters, Mrs. Samanlha Bowen and Mrs. Lizzie Palmer, both of Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. Lena Medler of Fort Scott, Kan.; a brother, Lee Pillion of Roseburg, Ore.; and a half-sister, Mrs. Minnie Hayworth of Wheaton, Mo.

Friends may call at the Locke Funeral Home where services are pending after 3 p.m. Monday.
