[Waterloo Courier, Sunday, October 4, 1966]
Funeral services for a man whose death was as solitary as his life will occur at a graveside in Poyner Township Cemetery at 11 a. m. Wednesday.
Otto Bebersdorf, 63, who lived alone at 217 Elm St., apparently died there early Monday of a coronary occlusion. His body was discovered Monday afternoon by a neighbor who went to investigate.
Oppold Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the funeral but few other facts appear to be available regarding Mr. Bebersdorf. It is known that he was born Feb. 25, 1903, in Germany and that he emigrated to Iowa in 1925 and came to Waterloo from somewhere in the state in 1947.
He had been employed by the Rath Packing Co., but retired because of ill health.
There are no known survivors.
