JAMES B. MCHUGH

Services for James B. McHugh, of 1530 Forest Ave., will be Thursday at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Rt. Rev. Msgr, E. J. O'Hagen will officiate.

Mr. McHugh died Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Hospital of a stroke following a short illness. He was 69.

Born Nov. 8, 1898, at Cambridge, Illinois, the son of Bernard and Josephine Guinty, Mr. McHugh married Ruth L. Lau Sept. 3, 1932, at Galena, Illinois.

They moved in 1939 to Waterloo where Mr. McHugh was employed as a federal meat inspector at the Rath Packing Company.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Holy Name Society.

Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. John K. Leavell, of Fort Dodge; a son, James McHugh, of Kansas City, Kan.; a sister, Mrs. A. R. Smith, of Mason City; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Oppold Funeral Home.

Funeral services for James McHugh, 69, of 1530 Forest Ave., will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. E. J. O'Hagan, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City. Rosary services by the parish and Holy Name Society will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Oppold Funeral Home,

Mr. McHugh, the son of Bernard and Josephine Guinty McHugh, died at 10 p.m. Monday at St. Francis Hosptial of a stroke.
