WATERLOO — Eleanor M. Pardoe, 75, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Allen Hospital, following a long illness.

She was born Sept. 23, 1937, in Iowa City, daughter of Theodore and Luella Wheeler Wright. She married James Pardoe on April 9, 1968, in Waterloo.

Mrs. Pardoe worked at home raising her children.

Survived by her husband; three sons, Roger Berger of Waterloo, Scott (Sara) Pardoe of Forest City and Todd Pardoe of Waukee; a daughter, Judy Berger; six grandchildren, Shelby, Christopher, Zachary and Morgan Pardoe, Alyssa Berger and Elizabeth White; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Mariah White; a brother, Melvin Wright of Lamont; and a sister, Genevieve Crawford of Denver.

Preceded in death by six brothers: Robert, Irvin, Edwin, Junior, Duane and Richard Wright; and a sister, Donna Bjorheim.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today and an hour before services Friday at the chapel.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Bend Humane Society.

Eleanor enjoyed taking walks with her dog, gardening and animals. She was a great cook and made the best cinnamon rolls. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
