CEDAR FALLS - Hilda M. Martinson, 90, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, March 23, 2006, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.

She was born April 18, 1915, in Thompson, daughter of Elmen and Amelia Jensen Erickson. She married Vernon Martinson Dec. 30, 1934, in Thompson. He died July 30, 1966.

She moved to Cedar Falls in 1938.

Survived by: two sons, Jerry (Geraldine) of Cedar Falls and Roger of Puerto Penasco, Mexico; a daughter, Janice (Charles) Strein of Outing, Minn.; seven grandchildren, Scott (Julie) Martinson, Lynne (Brad) Prentice, David (Kris) Martinson, Jeane (Ron) Rabune, Craig (Terri) Strein, Carol (Mike) Jordan and Matt (Mary Nell) Martinson; 17 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Art Erickson of Rolfe.

Preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; a brother, Irvin Erickson; two sisters, Clara Ingebretison and Mable Tangen; and a granddaughter, Mary Ann Strein.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or the church.
