CEDAR FALLS — Ruth M. Hartleip, 93, of NewAldaya Lifescapes, died there Monday, March 4, 2013.

She was born Dec. 9, 1919, in Morrison, daughter of Robert and Emma Clemann Miller. She married John W. Hartleip on May 28, 1941, in Waterloo. He died Feb. 25, 2002.

Mrs. Hartleip graduated from Reinbeck High School and Gates Business College, and was employed as a secretary at Waterloo Chamber of Commerce. During World War II she worked for the American Red Cross at Great Lakes and Detroit, Mich. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Survived by three sons, Robert (Chris) of Manila, Philippines, Terry (Mary) of Waterloo and Jerry (Marcy) of Cedar Falls; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Chapel at NewAldaya, Cedar Falls, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo.
