Mrs. Adeline A. Gunhis
Mrs. Adeline A. Gunhis, 61, of 1201 W. Mullan Ave., died Monday at Schoitz Memorial Hospital, of Cancer.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Catholic Church with burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
A wake service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Oppold Funeral Home, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Wednesday.
She was born May 26, 1914, at Little Turkey, the daughter of John and Stella Shindelar Kacher. She married Harry Hewitt in May of 1937 at Cresco and he died in September 1962. She married Edwin Gunhis September 26, 1964, in Waterloo.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Robert Hewitt of 6127 Sunnyside St., Cedar Falls; two brothers, James Kacher of 1319 Sycamore St., and Stanley Kacher of 1119 Oregon St.
Memorials may be made to the cancer society in her name.
