WATERLOO — Lorna M. Custard, 98, of Waterloo, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at Rosewood Estates of natural causes.

She was born June 29, 1914, in Grundy County, daughter of Henry and Elsie Beyers Ackerrmann. She married Pearl Custard on Dec. 31, 1934, in Waterloo. He died Feb. 28, 1982.

Mrs. Custard owned and operated a restaurant in Waterloo.

Survived by nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Erwin and Harry Ackermann; and her twin sister, Lois Haynes.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation an hour before services at the funeral home.
