CEDAR FALLS — Leona Saak Hydinger, 90, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013.

She was born Jan. 10, 1923, in Waterloo, daughter of Algo and Ruth Grout Saak. She married Clyde W. Hydinger on June 18, 1949. He died March 5, 2004.

She graduated from T.C. High School in 1943 and moved to Santa Monica. Mrs. Hydinger was employed at Douglas Air Craft for more than 35 years.

Survived by a daughter, Barbara Jo (Leonard) Long of Grants Pass, Ore.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Bea Ballestaros of Paso Robles, Calif., and Glendora Ginder of LaJolla, Calif.; and a brother, AJ (Bev) Saak of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Joe Ballestaros and Joe Ginder.

Graveside services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary in Colton, Calif. Visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls.

Memorials may be directed to Bickford Cottage or Allen Memorial Hospital Hospice.
