WILLIAM M. HINES

BISMARCK. N. D.—William M. Hines, 67, of Sterling, N. D., and formerly of Cedar Falls, died here Tuesday night of a stroke. Voelter Funeral Home, Bismarck, is in charge of arrangements and funeral services are tentatively set for Friday here. Burial will be here.

Mr. Hines was born May 26, 1906, in Delaware County, the son of William and Ella Hines. He married Martha Bohling in 1931 in Muscatine. She died in 1966.

He had worked at the John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 31 years, retiring in 1969. He also had worked as a police dispatcher for the Independence police department. He was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church, Bismarck. He was a 32nd degree Mason, and member and past master of Black Hawk Lodge No 65 A.F.&A.M., Cedar Falls, belonged to the York Rite bodies, Eastern Star and White Shrine of Cedar Falls, El Mecca Shrine Club, Waterloo, Waterloo Scottish Rite , El Kahir Shrine of Cedar Rapids and Cedar Rapids Consistory; Bismarck Chapter Order of Eastern Star; and Mizpah White Shrine of Jerusalem of Mandan, N. D.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Richard Elefson of Sterling. N. D.; three stepchildren: Lt. Col. Charles F. Bohling of Riverside, Calif., Mrs. Charles Weber of Muscatine, and Mrs. Paul Sharply of, Milwaukee, Wis.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
