Ronald E Smith, 71, of Waterloo, Iowa, died at home on Wednesday, March 10, 2004. He was born November 26, 1932, at Jesup, Iowa, the son of Ira and Elsie Maude (Cummings) Smith.

Ronald married Judith I. Smith June 11, 1954, at the United Presbyterian Church, Barclay Township. They were later divorced. Ronald served in the United states Air Force from January 18, 1957 to March 18, 1963. He worked for Roger Smith Construction, Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Ronald died Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at his home in Waterloo, Iowa, at the age of 71 years.

He is survived by three son; Rod (Lori) Smith of Waterloo, Roger (Darla) Smith of Janesville, Iowa and Robert (Teresa) Smith of Webster City, Iowa; two daughters, Roxanne (Leonard) Thompson of Janesville and Robben (Jim) Wilson of Waterloo, Iowa: sixteen grand children and nine great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, one brother Bud Smith and one sister, Vivian Nissen.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2004, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls. A memorial fund will be established.
