Mabel M. Rosauer, 84, formerly of La Porte City, Dysart and Hampton, died Saturday, April 22, 2000, at the Sunrise Hill Care Center, Traer, of natural causes.
She was born Aug. 24, 1915, in Monroe Township, the daughter of Willie and Metha Christensen Jurgens. She married Wesley F. Jebe Sr. in December of 1932, in Dysart, and they later divorced. She then married Luverne "Bus" Rosauer Sept. 30, 1948, in Monroe, Wis. He died in January of 1978.
Mrs. Rosauer worked as a nurse's aide in Hampton.
Survived by a son, Joe of Solon; a daughter, Loretta Immel of Otley; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and six sisters, Viola Stricker of Cedar Falls, Mildred Fisher, Dorothy Morrison and Caroline Rock, all of La Porte City, Virginia Abernathey of Traer, and Isabel Schuck of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.
Preceded in death by: a son, Wesley Jebe Jr.; and a great-grandson.
Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday at the American Lutheran Church of La Porte City, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Huisman Funeral Home, La Porte City, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
