Lorenzo "Bud" Woods was born July 6, 1929 at Cambridge, Iowa, the son of John & Chjoldvor (Braun) Woods.

He married Synnove Petersen August 29, 1948 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Bud was employed by John Deere & Company at the John Deere Experimental Farm for many years. He was a member of the Sons of Norway, he square danced with the Promenaders and the Haylofters, and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Bud died Thursday, February 19, 2004 at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home at 74 years of age.

Survivors include his wife, Synnove Woods, of Cedar Falls; one brother, Robert (Marie) Woods, also of Cedar Falls, and many nieces and nephews. Bud was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Melissa McCulley and Gertrude Woods; one sister, Kathy Weltruski and one brother, Sam Woods.

Services were 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2004 at First United Methodist Church with cremation following the service and inurnment at a later date at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery.

A memorial fund will be established.
