PARKERSBURG - Amy Lynn Schwerin Guldager, 30, of Parkersburg died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls, of natural causes.
She was born June 20, 1975, in Waterloo, daughter of Dale and Dianne Whitney Schwerin. She married David Guldager on July 19, 1997, in Sumner.
She was a 1993 graduate of Sumner High School and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa and her master's degree from St. Mary's University, Winona, Minn.
She was an English teacher at St. Charles High School, St. Charles, Minn., Winona Middle School, Winona, Minn., and at Aplington-Parkersburg High School. She was the Aplington-Parkersburg High School speech coach and was a judge at speech contests. Amy was on the Faith and Learning Council and was the former education director at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Connor and Logan, both at home; her parents, Dale and Dianne Schwerin of Aitkin, Minn.; a brother, Matthew (Jessica) Schwerin of Aitkin; a sister, Sara Schwerin of Crookston, Minn.; and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Roger and Alice Whitney of Janesville; and her paternal grandparents, Alvin and Mildred Schwerin of Tripoli.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
Memorials: a scholarship fund will be established.
