EDWARD SCHAKE
Edward Schake, 83, of Zuma St., died at 8:30 p.m. last night of a heart attack at the home of his son, Clifford, Evansdale chief of police, 329 Norma.
He was born Jan. 5, 1875, in Denver*, and married Nellie Pines in 1887 in Nashua.
Mr. Sohake retired as a carpenter six years ago. He attended the Concordia Lutheran Church in Waterloo.
Surviving are eight sons: Clarence, of Clouquet, Minn, Vernon, of Bellingham, Minn., Ray of Sandstone, Minn., Leonard of Longview, Wash., Arthur, of Bellingham, Minn., Cecil of Montevideo, Minn., Walter, of Elk Run Heights, and Clifford, of Evansdale; three daughters: Mrs. Carl Fagerlind, 1036 Kern St., Mrs. Bernard Yaggy, St., Francis, Minn., and Mrs. Harold Doyle, 130 Brovan Blvd., Evansdale; 75 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Roy McRoberts, Waverly.
He was preceded in death by his wife and two sons.
Funeral services are pending at Parrott and wood Funeral Home.

EDWARD SCHAKEFuneral services for Edward Schake, 83, of Zuma St., who died Saturday, will be at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home. The Rev. E. L. Stuempfig pastor of Concordia Lutheran church will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Schake was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, rather than in Denver, as reported earlier.
