Invalidism of six years is ended by death

Mrs. George Isley Dies This Morning
Resident Here Eighteen Years.

Mrs. George Isley, 73, a pioneer Iowa resident, died at her home, 1207 West Nineteenth Street, at 9:30 a.m. today. Mrs. Isley had been a patient invalid for the last six years, the result of injuries from a fall. She became ill with pneumonia last Monday that disease being the direct cause of her death.

She was born December 23, 1857* at Lamont, Iowa where she grew to womanhood. She was married to George Henry Isley at Lamont September 18, 1878. The family moved to a farm south of the city in 1912 and came to Cedar Falls two years later. Mrs. Isley was a woman of sweet Christian character and was a faithful member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving besides her husband are two children, Mrs. Edna Rasmussen and Will Isley. There are also six brothers and sisters. They are: Will Thompson, Cedar Falls, Ben and John Thompson, Omaha, Gus Thompson, Andrew, Iowa, Mrs. Sarah Kennedy, Manchester and Mrs. Clara Anderson, Shell Rock.

Funeral services will probably be held from the home Sunday afternoon. Internment will be made in Fairview Cemetery.
