Lucille B. Mugge, 92, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Thursday, February 17, 2005, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.

She was born October 23, 1912 at Moorhead, Iowa, the daughter of John and Blanche (Schmidt) Neal.
Lucille married Harold Ellis on June 18, 1944 at Moorhead. He died October 5, 1965. She married John Mugge on May 8, 1971 at Nashua, Iowa. He died October 18, 1991.

She attended Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa and was a graduate of Iowa State Teachers College (UNI). She taught in country schools for a few years, was a kindergarten teacher for the Cedar Falls Community School District for many years, and then was a librarian at the Cedar Falls Public Library.

Survivors include two sons, Larry (Carolyn) Mugge of Aurora, Colorado and Ronald Mugge of St. Louis Park, Minnesota; a daughter, Maryln (Jon) Trowbridge of Akron, Iowa; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Clair (Maxine) Neal of Jackson, Michigan; a sister, Enid Petersen of Anthon, Iowa; six nieces and nephews and seven great-nieces and nephews.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and three sisters: Louise Thorson, Edith Neal and Virginia Neal.

Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2005, at First Christian Church in Cedar Falls. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Waterloo.

Memorials may be directed to the church.

CEDAR FALLS -- Lucille B. Mugge, 92, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, Feb. 17, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo; services 11 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Waterloo, visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, 266-7525; memorials to the church.
