WATERLOO — Jack W. Deaton, 75, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Allen Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 28, 1937, in Texola, Okla., son of Clark and Bonnie Bessinger Deaton. He married Mardella Guenther on Oct. 5, 1962, in Sublette, Kan.

Mr. Deaton was employed with Construction Machinery Co. for 28 years and later with Samson Supply Co. until retirement.

Survived by his wife; a son, Harold (Kim) of Scott City, Kan.; a daughter, Laura Kelly of Waterloo; four grandchildren: Jeremy, Dustin, Tiffany and Jedediah; six great-grandchildren, Macie, Gage, Tucker, Cory, Alexis and Lillian; two brothers, James (Lyna) of Wentworth, Mo., and Bennie (Vickie) of Satanta, Kan.; and two sisters, Ida Morris of Topeka, Kan., and Nancy Beckett of Midland, Texas.

Memorial services will be held in the spring. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is assisting the family.
